Fall Youth Fishing Derby Results and Pictures

 

The Person County Recreation, Arts and Parks Department and the Mayo Park Staff would like to thank and congratulate the winners and participants of the Mayo Park Fall Youth Fishing Derby. The winners of the Mayo Park Fall Fishing derby are as follows:

Jonathan Snead caught the biggest fish, which weighed in at .22lb. 

Cameron Smith caught the longest fish, at 6 ¼ inches in length.

Xachary Chapman caught a total of 7 fish, and took the prize for most fish caught.

Kyle Poole caught the caught the smallest fish, which weighed in at .01lb.

Leydon Evans caught the shortest fish, at ½ inch in length.

This year’s Fall Youth Fishing Derby as held on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at the Mayo Park Boat Landing. This year we had 34 participants, and a total of 23 fish were caught.
