7^th Annual Canoe/ Kayak Race

Come out and test your skills in this 2.50 mile race.

When: Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Mayo Park Boat Landing Fishing Bank

The Race: Participants will begin at the Mayo Park Boat Landing Fishing Bank, and will race to the Bowmantown Bridge and back for an approximate distance of 2.50 miles. The race starts at 10:00 AM.

Age Divisions: 16 & under, 17-39, and 40 & over. 

Fees: Pre-registration fee for Person County residents is $10.00 or $15.00 for non residents. All pre- registrations include lunch. The first 30 pre registrations include an event tee shirt.

Registration: Participants may register online at http://mayo.personcounty.net/, at the Mayo Park office, or by phone using a credit card. Pre registration ends July 17, 2009.

Late Registration:  Registration the day of the race is $15.00 per team, and will take place from 8:30 am to 9:45am at the Mayo Park Boat Landing. Lunch is an additional $5.00 for those who register the day of the race. Additional event tee shirts will also be available for sale at the event.

Canoe/Kayak Rentals: Mayo Park Canoe/Kayak rentals are limited to 12 vessels for $5.00 or $7.50 for non residents.
