Mayo Boat Day
The Person County Recreation, Arts, and Parks Department will be sponsoring the 2nd annual Mayo Boat Day, Saturday, May 16, 2009 beginning at 10am and ending at 2pm. All boaters are welcome to bring and show any type of vessels including: Bass Boats, Saltwater Boats, Sailboats, Canoes, Kayaks, Handmade Vessels, Vintage Water Crafts, Speed Boats, Hobby Boats, and any other boat you would like to show. Mayo Boat Day t-shirts will be available. Food vendors will also be present beginning at 11 am. Parking and viewing space is limited so call the Mayo Ranger Station to register for your spot.
Various exhibitors will be present, as well as a certified boat mechanic to answer all your questions. Participants are also eligible to try out Mayo Park canoes and kayaks for free.
