Tree Identification Hike at Mayo Park
When: Saturday, May 1, 2010 beginning at 9:00 am.
Where: This hike will begin at the Mayo Park Environmental Education and Community Center at 1013 Neal’s Store Road, and will continue along a planned route on the Mayo Park Trail System.
During this guided tour of the Mayo Park Trail System, the ranger will discuss trees of a typical piedmont forest, and ways to identify them.
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes with good support. Remember to bring refreshments and plenty of drinking water. It is also a good idea to bring a pair of binoculars if you have them. This event is offered free of charge.
