Hook, Line, and Senior Fishing Seminar at Mayo Park

For Adults 50 and Over

 

 

About This Seminar: During this series, Mayo Park rangers will teach participants the basics of fishing for a variety of species from the Mayo Park ADA Accessible Fishing Pier.

 

Live worms will be provided, but participants will need to provide any artificial lures they would like to use. Participants who do not have rods or reels may borrow one, at no charge, from Mayo Park through the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission’s Fishing Tackle Loaner Program.

 

When: Wednesday, June 16; Wednesday, June 23; and Wednesday, June 30; 8:00am-12:00pm.

 

Where: The Mayo Park ADA Fishing Pier. Participants should meet the ranger at the Mayo Park Environmental Education and Community Center at 1013 Neal’s Store Road, Roxboro, NC 27574.

 

Fees & Registration: There is a fee of $10.00 fee per participant for residents, or $15.00per participant for non residents. This price includes all three sessions and a fishing information packet. Participants may also choose to purchase individual sessions at a cost of $4.00 per participant for residents, or $6.00 per participant for non residents.

 

Registration ends Friday, June 11.

 

Please Note: Participants must have a valid North Carolina Fishing License.
