Bass Camp: Adventure Fishing by Canoe and Kayak
When: Wednesday, June 16; Wednesday, June 23; and Wednesday, June 30; 1:00pm-5:00pm
About This Camp: During this series, Mayo Park rangers will teach older youths between the ages of 13 and 18 the basics of fishing from a canoe or kayak..
Live worms will be provided, but participants will need to provide any artificial lures they would like to use. Participants who do not have rods or reels may borrow one, at no charge, from Mayo Park through the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission’s Fishing Tackle Loaner Program.
Fees: There is a fee of $10.00 fee per participant for residents, or $15.00per participant for non residents. This price includes all three sessions and a fishing information packet. Participants may also choose to purchase individual sessions at a cost of $4.00 per participant for residents, or $6.00 per participant for non residents. Registration is limited to 18 and ends Friday, June 11, so be sure to register soon!
Please Note: Participants over 16 years of age must have a valid North Carolina Fishing License.
Participants should meet the ranger at the Mayo Park Boat Landing.
