Mayo Lake

Fishing Report

4/15/2006:  water temps 61-62degrees, Bass fishing:  fishing really preparing to spawn.  They're going after just about anything you can put in their face. crank baits, white spinners (mid size), and the Famous Mayo Lake Black trick worm working well.  Don't forget the Lizard activity is really high this time of year.  Creep them off the banks, and have a ball.

Crappie:  Dog woods are in bloom. Many bites reported, but really having to look for the big ones 2-3 lbs. Don't Fret, they are plenty of 1-1.5 pounders.  Bait for this time of year. Minnows, Minnows, Minnows!
