Campfire Safety And Regulations
All campfires should be confined to designated fire rings or grills.
No fire should ever be left unattended.
Before breaking camp, fires should be drowned and completely extinguished. If you need help with this, ask a Mayo Park Ranger.
Keep loose clothing, hair and other flammable materials away from the campfire.
Firewood for use at campsites is available for purchase at the Mayo Park office, or online. Campers may gather wood at Mayo Park provided that:
any wood taken from the forests is dead and lying on the ground
no live trees are removed, cut or defaced in anyway
Chainsaws are not allowed in Mayo Park.
